My name is Jack, I'm 39 years old, and in 1986 I too was bitten by a brown recluse spider unknowingly. I thought it was going to kill me, I broke out in hives, and blisters formed on my feet, the next day was when the real fun started, me waking up with what felt like a knife sticking in my leg, this went on for weeks as the Doctors tried to heal it with medicine, until surgery was the only answer, they cut out a large portion of my calf, and the Dr. said that it was heading for the bone, luckily I still have my leg, I am attaching a picture in case you might want to add it to your homepage, as another example. I know the misery you went through.
It would be fine if you put my name and e-mail, if anyone is bit and need advise, they can feel free to e-mail me and I'd help as much as I could.
Those are nasty little things those spiders, my doctor had told me I'd of been much better off to have been bitten by a rattlesnake rather than the brown recluse. I am fine now, however I am still paranoid after all those years, to me, every spider I see is a brown recluse...ha ha... I'll yell for my wife....Honey there's a spider in here!!!....ha ha...Anyway its nice meeting someone else that has gone though it. Where do you live? I read it on the homepage but forgot, I live west of St Louis Missouri about 50 miles. Well thanks for replying.
